About Odin
Odin is a brand of ‘intelligent luxury’ property and hospitality developments.
Odin’s belief is that real luxury is a state of mind: a sense of time, personal experiences, and a definite sense of responsibility for the planet we live on.
This philosophy translates into a number of projects, including...
Feeling that it was too early to retire to their vineyards in Burgundy the founders of Great North Pacific, owners of Odin, decided to pursue their passion for nature in the snow haven of Niseko, Japan, which they first discovered in the mid-1990’s.
As advisors to groups such as Intercontinental Hotels, Swire Properties, Sun Hung Kai Properties for the past twenty years, the partners’ stated goals with Odin is to “marry the best money can buy with the best nature has to offer”.
The vision behind Odin is to set the highest standards for architectural design, tasteful luxury and environmental responsibility. Odin aims to undertake only a limited number of high-end, small-size boutique luxury projects, and earn our reputation the hard way: by delivering on our promises.
In Hokkaido’s family-imbued community, a good business idea and capital is often not enough to get things done. It takes long-standing relationships and knowledge on the ground to gain the trust of the few partners able to deliver quality projects. The team assembled around Odin are reputable partners who are the best in their fields for local architecture, construction and regulatory management.
Atelier BNK, the lead construction and engineering architect, as well as lead design architect on many Odin projects is one of Japan’s most renowned architectural firms. They have created world-famous landmarks such as the Sapporo Dome. Since their inception in 1975, they have designed and delivered a wide array of well-known commercial and residential buildings throughout Japan.
